First Ward Community Center

is located in the Northeast Section of the City of Saginaw, which is common known as the Potter-Longstreet neighborhood.

Our center serves as a support/advocacy network for resident of Saginaw County. We provide a range of services to low- and moderate-income families who reside throughout Saginaw County. Our programs and services are responsible and accessible to families and individuals ranging from senior citizens to children (six years and older), regardless of race, gender, age, and socio-economic status.

We serve a large racial/ethnic minority population, which is most disproportionately categorized as "at risk". Typically, 85 percent of our clients are African American, 10 percent are Hispanic Americans, and five percent are Caucasian Americans.
